Day 120 We were hoping to get back on the trail early that morning but our food package hadn’t arrived so we needed to wait till at least noon, when the mail arrived. Our generous hosts were headed camping in the Redwoods so we thanked them, said our goodbyes and began walking downtown. We were a bit annoyed about having to wait but I’d justs finished saying that maybe there was a reason for this delay when who did approach us but our dear hiking bud Cjell! We had a overjoyed reunion and soon were sitting at a cafe patio chatting to him, Berkley Bill and Colin, the section hiker we’d seen around Castle Craggs. So that’s how we ended up spending a second Zero Day in Ashland. Seriously, second 0s rock. You’re done with all your blah blah logistical crap and can actually just relax and kick back… Hooray! We also ran into Gingersnap & Ice Cap. Only the news that Cjell was getting off trail for 10 days dampened our spirits. But for that day we just had a grand time together.
