Yes, it’s sad but true. Our beloved 1990 Honda Civic Hatchback has died. Darned timing belt! Dear old Whitey served us well for our first year of married life. Yes, it’s true that the AC stopped working as soon as spring arrived. And it squeaked and rattled. And the speakers were blown. And there was nothing automatic about it. And the trunk would slam you in the head if you didn’t hold it up. And the shotgun seat-belt wouldn’t unbuckle for a few months, requiring some interesting exiting manoeuvres. Still, it is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our endearing car.
THE GOOD NEWS is that a messenger of GOD Himself is going to loan us a car for the next few months! How cool is that? And we have someone who wants to buy Whitey for parts. Still, how can a 1998 Toyota Corolla replace her?
